Alex Calicchia
Founder and Chief Hiveologist™
Alex Calicchia founded Hive Partners in 2015 after seeing the same pattern across complex organizations: experienced leadership teams rarely suffer from a shortage of intelligence. Value gets lost when a consequential decision appears settled but still contains unresolved tradeoffs, competing assumptions, unclear ownership, or stakeholder tension.
Alex works directly with CEOs and senior leadership teams to surface what remains unresolved and design the conversation that converts competing perspectives into a decision the organization can carry forward. Confidential inquiry, strategy work, facilitation, coaching, and behavioral tools may all be part of that work. They are methods, not the product.
A certified facilitator and executive coach, Alex is trained to guide complex conversations, surface different perspectives, and help leadership teams move from discussion to commitment. He is also certified through Cornell University in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, bringing a structured approach to ensuring all voices are heard while maintaining focus on results.
Outside of his professional work, Alex has served on the board of Girls Inc. of Greater Houston, supporting the organization’s mission to help young girls grow up Strong, Smart, and Bold.
Known for his direct and practical approach, Alex focuses less on theory and more on helping organizations achieve what matters most: clear decisions, aligned leadership, and meaningful progress.
