Facilitation

A Great meeting is not the outcome.

If you judge the offsite at 5:00 P.M., you’ve measured the wrong outcome. Thirty days later, something should be different. The test is what the organization can decide, own, and execute after everyone leaves.

  • BEFORE THE ROOM: We identify what is actually unresolved.
  • IN THE ROOM: We surface the tradeoffs and make the consequential decisions.
  • AFTER THE ROOM: We determine whether the decision is governing behavior or being quietly renegotiated.

SUCCESS STARTS WITH PREPLANNING.

We work with you to define the desired outcome of the meeting and identify the “win” for everyone in attendance. You know what success looks like before you begin a meeting and agree in advance on the decision-making processes to be employed.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR MEETING STAKEHOLDERS.

We work with you to clarify the needs of those in the meeting and help identify the role of each meeting stakeholder. Are they an advocate or a challenger?

PROCESS DESIGNING AND MANAGING YOUR AGENDA.

We apply process design to your meetings to ensure success. This can range from harnessing the team's collective intelligence to gaining alignment and building an accelerated roadmap for success.

GRAPHIC RECORDING AND FACILITATION

We sometimes leverage graphic recording to enhance the understanding of the meeting content and dialogue.

What is Graphic Facilitation?

We sometimes utilize graphic facilitation and recording during many client engagements.

Graphic recording is a visual note-taking system. The ‘recorder’ or ‘scribe’ takes notes on a large canvas. The end result is a visual representation of what went on in the session that is meaningful to the people who were present.

Why Graphic Facilitation?

Individuals learn and process information in various ways. By using a graphic facilitator, we enhance the ability of meeting participants to effectively engage. The results include effective decision-making, shorter meetings, stronger content memorability, and quicker alignment and consensus.
